When socialism came to power anything is possible ...

Who would ever think that a party that gets 60% of the vote and defeated a party? Yet, in commenting on the extraordinary success of Chavez in Venezuela's legislative elections, the truth is that the main Italian newspapers. Logical to support a claim so ridiculous you have to pull out of incontrovertible data: and then everyone here to write that the goal of two thirds of the seats has not been confirmed, and that a "fierce" opposition is ready to "do battle". In fact, if the percentage of seats fell socialists, why then the Commander Chavez can speak of "victory blunt?

What the commentators ignore, or pretend to ignore-is that in 2005 the 'opposition did not turn up to the elections, preferring to submit to the strategies (for their ruinous Ed) who came straight from Washington. The elections, boycotted all 'last moments, were practically a plebiscite Chavez, and called for the military coup by the neo-con U.S. could never materialize. This is definitely the first of the reasons that lead us to believe yesterday's vote a success : in the last election the absence of parties in competition with the government weakened by the real balance of power in the country. Now, with the comeback of election 'opposition, the balance of power back to the light. And the positive element lies in the fact that the light still come back in favor of a socialist society.

Not to mention the 'most striking and significant victory: Why yes it was a victory for Chavez, but above all a victory for the PSUV. That is the new party who yesterday scored 98 out of 165 seats, while in the 2005 election was not even remotely conceived in the mind of its leader . Just us, in Italy, we should realize the difficulty of managing and cohesion of the parties that aspire to represent a majority of the company. After the slow agony of the Democratic Party, recently we have seen even disintegrate the PDL. In Venezuela there has been rather the opposite: Chavez and his supporters have won their battle, turning a bunch of movements in a party balance, cohesive, organized. Focusing on new technologies, incentives to go down in the trenches against the oligarchs also on the Web, with new technological tools, Facebook, on Twitter. Of course, not to mention the ever presence in the barrio, the neighborhoods, streets, in factories: Why the popular leaders and cadres of the PSUV to know who they're working on. They know who supported them and saved their lives at the time of the coup of 2002, who paid with their blood also the continuity of 'democratic order. And so every wall chipped flourishing of murals, slogans, quotations revolutionary, with great graphics and an outstanding communicative immediacy . But we move now to

'analysis of' opposition, as we called it so far, in accordance with the terms of the Italian press. Although it would be more just call them objections. Yes, because in reality, opposed to Chavez, there are an infinite horde of small parties and movements ranging from the reactionary pseudo "left", through the conservatories of AD and COPEI, stars of fifty years of Venezuelan politics. Politicians very contentious and difficult to manage according to hear their U.S. financiers, often outraged by their inability to join forces to Chavismo. And in fact the only common denominator that seems to unite them seems this: funds more or less legal by the U.S. government that flow into their coffers in the form of "aid to the democratic process" . If you think that applies in the PSUV a strict democratic centralism, offset by the massive participation of the basic mechanisms, it is hard to believe that a united front so diverse and uncoordinated to worry la Revolucion Bolivariana. Unless this is not achieved and coordination-directed by the U.S. government, which for eleven years now, is the only real active and credible opposition that is seen in Venezuela. Why

in Venezuela is not all roses. If the internal problems, such as the emancipation of the 'economy on oil, ol' runaway inflation we think the Government for the defense of socialism against external attacks we need to mobilize all. Why signals coming from South America are certainly not good : border incursions by paramilitary groups in Venezuela, airspace violations, militants of the PSUV mysteriously murdered. All this in the framework of a coup in Honduras unpunished, seven new U.S. bases in the vassal state of Colombia, plots to assassinate Evo Morales, and a new force in the libel of the leading revolutionaries. To all these destabilizing maneuvers, to all those who plot in 'shadow, today was given a strong and unique.

And this answer has been given to the sunlight, with a transparent voting system that was able to earn the appreciation even the Washington Post. One answer that comes to downsizing of social inequalities, education and public health for all , a genuine anti-imperialism and a genuine national sovereignty. A response that sees still waving high the banner of socialism siglo XXI. And in Italy, what are we waiting?
